Companies, groups and individuals who are hosting an event for Specialty Coffee Week Sacramento (SCWS) will be responsible for all organizational requirements, event materials, and related expenses. All prospective hosts must submit an outline of their event (including their vision, theme, location, date, and time) to be approved by SCWS. Each approved event will require a $35 listing fee which will be used solely for SCWS promotional purposes (i.e. flyers, posters, print ads, website maintenance, etc.).
SCWS will not promote discounts or coupons. All events must be geared toward promoting specialty coffee. It is our goal to promote, establish, and maintain the coffee supply-chains efforts to remain profitable from "Farm to Cup." Examples of SCWS events can include, but not limited to: coffee tastings, coffee-focused signature drink making, coffee and food pairings, discussion panels, lectures, educational slide shows, or some other type of specialty coffee demonstration and activity. Be creative and have fun!
In an attempt to make SCWS as accessible as possible, all events must remain free to the public, with the exception of drink and food sales. Participating groups are only able to charge admission fees for their events if they wish to donate 100% of proceeds to the following coffee-related, non-profit organizations: Coffee Kids. Grounds for Health, IWCA (International Women’s Coffee Alliance), Project Rwanda, Roya Recovery Project, World Coffee Research. All events must be held within a 50-mile radius of Central Sacramento.
Deadline to submit is October 1st.
Please allow ample time for the review process. SCWS will contact you within 7 days of your submission to review and confirm the specifications related to your event. If there are any concerns or questions, please feel free to contact us.
Thank you for contributing to Specialty Coffee Week Sacramento 2018!
